Serving kratom at her wedding, Kristen found herself going through withdrawals for the first time during her honeymoon. Never addicted to anything before other than caffeine, Ryan S. talks about his progression from powder to extracts to 7ohm products, and his many failed attempts to quit before he went to a seven-day detox center in January 2025. After a family tragedy and strong urges to use kratom again, Ryan S. decided to pursue medicated assisted treatment to part of a relapse prevention strategy to maintain kratom assistance long-term.
